Joyce was born in London where she has spent most of her life, but study, work, and collaborations have led to travel to various parts of the world including Nigeria (Africa), the USA, Europe, and more recently India.

She lives and works in London in the same county as her childhood. Her job as a medical doctor though demanding is in many ways complimentary to her ministerial role, especially in relation to its ethos of care for others and the concept of wholesomeness. She is honoured, excited, and at the same time awed at the prospect of being a part of the team of ordained and lay workers at Methodist Central Hall Westminster.
